X, Y and Z describe the orientation of the prop itself, while x, y and z describe the direction of movement in space. The combination of both defines any position and trajectory a diabolo can take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/labs.troposfera.xyz\/jugglingresearch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/relation-diabolo-space-2-juggling-research-troposfera-xyz-by-didac-gilabert.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2055\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use two sets of axes to describe how the diabolo moves through space. X, Y and Z describe the orientation of the diabolo itself, while x, y and z describe the direction of movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The diabolo is in position X when the cups face left and right, Y when the cups face up and down, and Z when the cups face forward and backward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use + and \u2013 to define the direction of the movement along each axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Examples<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">+Xx moves to the left <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2212Xx moves to the right<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The combinations we use most often are Xx, Xy, Zz and Zx.
