We use two sets of axes to describe how a prop moves through space. X, Y and Z describe the orientation of the prop itself, while x, y and z describe the direction of movement in space. The combination of both defines any position and trajectory a diabolo can take.

We use two sets of axes to describe how the diabolo moves through space. X, Y and Z describe the orientation of the diabolo itself, while x, y and z describe the direction of movement.

The diabolo is in position X when the cups face left and right, Y when the cups face up and down, and Z when the cups face forward and backward.

We use + and – to define the direction of the movement along each axis.

Examples

+Xx moves to the left

−Xx moves to the right

The combinations we use most often are Xx, Xy, Zz and Zx. The combinations Xz, Zy, Yx, Yy and Yz are unusual in diabolo practice and represent territory worth exploring.

We will use X,Y,Z for the Diabolos and x,y,z fot the space.

We can use + and – to define de direction of de movement.

Ejamples:
+Xx to move to de left

-Xx to move to de right
